RII30919 - Certificate III in Civil Construction - 12 - 36 months

Signature Learning and Development offer 4 options in Cert III Civil Construction. They are:

  • Plant Operations
  • Road construction and maintenance
  • Bituminous Surfacing
  • Pipe laying
  • Civil- General

Please refer to the relevant course outlines for more detail.

Location:

  • We currently deliver NSW wide however interstate delivery will be negotiated on a case by case basis

Entry Requirements:

  • There are no prerequisites for this course
  • Students must have access to actual civil construction work environment and relevant plant and equipment to gain experience and complete this qualification satisfactorily
  • This course cannot be completed in a simulated classroom environment

Duration:

  • Up to 3 years as an apprentice or existing employee
  • Given access to the right resources and in consideration of previous experience, this qualification may be completed on the job in as little as 12 months
  • Generally, a full-time employee working regularly in a civil construction environment may be able to accelerate through this course

Cost:

  • This qualification is fully funded to eligible participants under Smart and Skilled Funding in NSW
  • Fee for service arrangements may be negotiated on a case by case basis. Final pricing is based on numbers, equipment availability and location.

Support:

  • Students will have access to extra support if a physical or learning disability may impede their ability to complete this course in its usual form of delivery. This will be determined on a case by case basis following enrollment

Delivery:

  • This course consists of 25 units of competency That require a theoretical component (distance learning, online learning or face to face workshops) and a practical component to be conducted in the participants workplace / civil construction environment

RPL:

  • Recognition of Prior Learning is available on request for this course. This is assessed on a case by case basis
